The Director of Accounting and FP&A is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations and leading financial planning, forecasting and analysis for the Americas Region ($1B annual revenue). This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with applicable regulations, and provides strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making and long-term growth.
What you’ll do
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and legal requirements
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial planning to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and manage internal/external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring effective performance and professional development
- Update and implement accounting policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations, alignment with parent company directives and best practices in the industry
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to senior management.
- Support all M&A activities including financial modeling, due diligence and integration
- Help manage the overall corporate accounting activities, including corporate insurance programs, hedging and banking activities, customs import /bond requirements and all corporate compliance
- This position supervises mid-level to senior professionals.
- Will provide guidance, training, and direction to personnel
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 8 plus years relevant experience, with 10+ years managing accounting teams
- Knowledge and experience working with large ERP systems (SAP preferred) and corporate consolidation tools.
- CPA preferred
- Proficient on MS Office, Excel, GSS, and Accounting general ledger software
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
