Job Description
Responsible for paying vendor invoices via check, ach, and SUA; processing travel requests and reimbursing employees. Ensures the 3-way match for PO related purchases or proper approvals for direct payments.
Responsibilities1. Oversees processing of all non-payroll payments in the district via check, ACH, or SUA. Ensures a three-way match on PO purchases or proper approvals on non-po purchases. Oversees travel requests and employee reimbursements.
2. Oversees reconciliation of vendor statements. Manages the annual 1099 issuance.
3. Responds to ad-hoc requests including open records requests.
4. Communicates with vendors, schools, departments, and administration to resolve issues and answer questions related to all funding sources about accounting processes and procedures.
5. Responsible for managing staff, including goal setting, appraisals, training, and KPIs.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree.
Director 1 Accounting positions require professional development on new accounting standards, software enhancements, related TEA finance training as well as TASBO, ASBO and GFOA trainings.
5 to 7 years accounting experience.
