Principales responsabilités

Le directeur ou la directrice de projet est entièrement responsable des activités suivantes. 

 

  • Stratégie d'exécution du projet : Sur la base du contrat, conçoit et met en place la stratégie globale pour l'exécution du projet afin d'atteindre les objectifs de rendement du projet.  
  • Communication : Représente GE envers le client, contrôle et gère cette interface et cette relation. Gère les boucles de communication interne et externe. 
  • Organisation du projet : Sélectionne et garantit les ressources nécessaires à l'exécution du projet. Organise l'équipe du projet et s'assure que chaque membre est affecté de façon précise à un rôle, à des responsabilités et à des interfaces définies et qu’il soit parfaitement habilité par rapport au cadre de ses tâches. 
  • Gestion du rendement : Exerce une surveillance constante et, si nécessaire, fait état des indicateurs clés de performance nécessaires. Prend immédiatement toutes les mesures et les décisions nécessaires pour garantir le rendement en matière de trésorerie, d’échéances, de qualité et de sécurité afin de maximiser la réalisation des objectifs du projet. 
  • Gestion de la qualité, du respect de l'environnement et de la santé et la sécurité : Conçoit, met en place et surveille l'exécution du plan de qualité du projet, les procédures et le plan SSE. Assure le plus grand respect des exigences au coût final le plus bas. 
  • Gestion des réclamations : Définit la stratégie de gestion des réclamations et oriente les actions en conséquence. Traite les réclamations en décidant des mesures à prendre et les fait exécuter dans le respect de la stratégie définie. 
  • Risques et opportunités : Définit un plan de gestion des risques. Met à jour et vérifie constamment les risques et les opportunités du projet. Évalue et choisit les actions qui profitent à la performance globale du projet. Assure le suivi de la mise en place de ces actions et des résultats.  
  • Processus du projet : Prend l'entière responsabilité du projet depuis le transfert de l’équipe des ventes jusqu’à ce que toutes les obligations commerciales pertinentes soient remplies et, finalement, jusqu’à la fin de la garantie ou au transfert au secteur des services (le cas échéant). Prend les mesures nécessaires pour améliorer le processus global du projet. Fournit également des commentaires au service des ventes et aux autres départements commerciaux à propos du rendement du projet et des processus.  
  • Gestion du personnel : Met sur pied, dirige et entraîne une équipe de projet impliquée qui permet d’assurer le plus haut niveau de rendement pour le projet. Définit les objectifs du projet, évalue le rendement par rapport à ceux-ci et fournit des plans d'évaluation et d’accroissement du rendement à la direction fonctionnelle.  
  • Planification du projet : Met en œuvre et surveille le calendrier principal ainsi que le flottement du projet pour assurer sa réalisation dans les délais impartis.

 

Essential Responsibilities

The Project Director is fully responsible and accountable for the following activities:

 

  • Project Execution Strategy: Based on contract, develops and implements overall strategy for project execution to achieve project performance goals. 
  • Communication: represent GE to customer; control and manage this interface and relationship. Manage internal and external communication loop. 
  • Project Organization: Set up and secure necessary resources for project execution. Organize project team and ensure that team members have clearly identified roles, responsibilities, defined interfaces and are empowered within their scope of duties. 
  • Performance Management: Constantly monitor and, if requested, report necessary key performance indicators (KPI's). Take all immediately necessary action and make decisions to guarantee financial, time, quality and safety performance to maximize achievement of project goals.  
  • Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management: Establish, implement and monitor Project Quality Plan, Procedures, and EHS Plan. Ensure best compliance within specification at lowest final cost. 
  • Claim Management: Define strategy for claim management and direct actions accordingly. Address claims by determining and leading all necessary actions in consideration of the defined strategy. 
  • Risk and Opportunities: Define Risk Management Plan. Constantly update and review risk and opportunities of each Project. Evaluate and determine actions that benefit overall performance of Project. Follow-up on implementation and results. 
  • Project Process: Assume full responsibility for project from Hand-Over from Sales until all obligations completed at FAC and/or Hand Over to Service Sector (if applicable). Take necessary action to improve overall project process. Provides feedback to Sales and other Business Functions on performance of Project and processes. 
  • People Management: Build, lead and coach a committed Project team guaranteeing the highest-level performance for each project. Define Project goals and objectives, evaluate performance against those goals and objectives, and provide performance evaluation and development plans to functional management. 
  • Project Planning: Develop and monitor Master Time Schedule, manage Project float to ensure timely completion of Project

 

Compétences/Exigences –

 

  • Diplôme universitaire en ingénierie 
  • 5 à 15 ans d'expérience pertinente dans l'industrie de génération d'énergie
  • 3 ans d'expérience en direction de projet 
  • Exécution de projets internationaux  
  • Projets de construction à grande échelle (EPC) et expérience sur le terrain
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais 
  • Vous devez accepter de vous soumettre à une vérification préalable à l’emploi, y compris, mais sans s’y limite, à une vérification des références et des antécédents.

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • University degree in engineering 
  • 5 to 15 years of relevant power generation industrial experience 
  • 3 years of Project Director experience 
  • International project execution 
  • Large Construction (EPC) and site experience
  • Fluent in both French and English
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check. 
  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
