SUMMARY:

Overview: As the Director of Sales, Asia, reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration in the region. You will oversee a team of distributors and sales professionals, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the successful implementation of sales initiatives.

As the Regional Sales Manager, Asia you will:

Develop and Implement Sales Strategy:

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy for the Asian market, including market segmentation, sales channels, target customers, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop plans to expand market share and increase revenue.
  • Establish sales targets and objectives in alignment with company goals and objectives.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate distribution partners and a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new channel partners and sales team members as needed.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster their professional development.

Business Development:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the aviation security industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products and services and enhance brand visibility.
  • Support Bid & Proposal Manager in the creation of winning proposals including competitive positioning and price-to-win analysis.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against targets.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Provide input into product development and marketing strategies based on customer feedback and market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the aviation security industry or related field.
  • Strong understanding of the aviation security market in Asia, including regulatory requirements, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and develop innovative sales strategies.
  • Experience managing and motivating a distribution channel and diverse sales team to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region as needed.
