JOB PURPOSE
The Regional Director is a senior operational leader responsible for overseeing a portfolio of Prodigy centers within an assigned region. This role serves as the primary link between Prodigy's organizational strategy and its execution at the local level, ensuring that every center delivers an exceptional experience for children, families, and staff. The Regional Director drives enrollment growth, maintains full DCF compliance, upholds operational and financial standards, and develops the center-level leaders within their region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Translate Prodigy's organizational strategy into actionable operational plans across all centers in the assigned region.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple centers, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Prodigy's mission and standards.
- Lead the planning and execution of new center openings, including site readiness, staffing, licensing, and launch.
- Serve as the regional point of escalation for operational issues, problem-solving with urgency and sound judgment.
Enrollment Growth
- Drive enrollment growth across the region by establishing and monitoring enrollment targets for each center.
- Partner with Center Directors to develop and execute local enrollment strategies, including tours, community outreach, and family retention initiatives.
- Host weekly enrollment meetings with Directors to review pipeline, identify gaps, and implement action plans.
Customer Service & Family Satisfaction
- Champion a culture of exceptional customer service across all centers in the region.
- Monitor family satisfaction metrics and feedback; address concerns promptly and coach Directors on relationship management.
- Ensure centers maintain welcoming, safe, and high-quality environments that reflect Prodigy's brand and values.
People Leadership & Development
- Directly manage Center Directors and Assistant Directors within the region, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and support the growth of center-level leaders into broader roles.
- Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies to maintain appropriately staffed centers at all times.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture across the region.
DCF Compliance & Program Quality
- Ensure all centers in the region maintain full compliance with DCF licensing requirements and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance, program quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- Implement corrective action plans promptly when compliance gaps are identified, and track resolution to completion.
- Ensure all centers adhere to Prodigy's curriculum, program standards, and quality benchmarks.
Financial Management
- Monitor and manage regional budget performance, including staffing, payroll, and operational expenses.
- Review weekly financial reports with Directors, identifying variances and driving accountability to targets.
- Identify and implement cost efficiencies without compromising program quality or compliance.
- Track tuition payments and aged receivables across the region, ensuring Directors are actively following up on outstanding balances and escalating accounts as needed to minimize revenue loss
Meetings & Communication
- Host weekly regional meetings with Directors focusing on enrollment, attrition, staffing and payroll, and expenses.
- Maintain clear and timely communication between center-level leadership and the Prodigy home office.
- Prepare and present regular regional performance updates to senior leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred, or over 15 years of experience in the field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in early childhood education, childcare operations, or a multi-unit service environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple locations and leading a team of Center or Site Directors.
- Experience with DCF licensing and regulatory compliance in a childcare setting.
- Demonstrated success driving enrollment growth and improving operational performance.
- Experience leading the opening of new centers or sites is strongly preferred.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
