Job Summary

The Dir, Marketing/Adtech & Ops is responsible to create and oversee the full-funnel consumer journey experience across owned and paid channels. This work supports both National and Local media and will span the consumer experience (Paid Media, Owned Media, and Site/App Personalization). The role will utilize consumer-focused strategies to drive brand growth and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) improvement. The role is responsible for the agency SOW and progress on deliverables for data and technology as well as leading efforts for owned and paid technology partner relationships, inclusive of scope. This role will also be responsible for the company's digital innovation plans.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Serve as a motivational leader and passionate advocate for data and measurement internally and externally.
  • Maintain media principles and educate the organization on these principles to ensure all customer journeys provide the optimal experience.
  • Develop a preferred list of partners and ensure partners are briefed on our growth tenets (e.g. JBP).
  • Influence and define the right KPIs by campaign type and channel, analyze results, and give advice for further optimization.
  • Provide thought leadership on media landscape evolution to stay at the forefront of media innovations.
  • Defines how data is combined to develop consumer targeting for national, local, and owned personalization.
  • Strategic aggregation of sales, pricing, and other data within attribution tools to answer business needs.
  • Measure and analyse campaign data to ensure maximum return on investment for paid and CRM efforts.
  • Lead for Advertising and Marketing technology stack partnerships and future proofing
  • Co-Lead for Advertising and Marketing technology stack vendor RFPs
  • Track national media spending, identify and resolve discrepancies from budgets with the national media buying agency; regularly communicate budget status and issues.
  • Manage national and local agency partnerships as part of the national media plan to achieve industry leading campaigns; ensure compliance, support, and performance of national media activities.
  • Track media activity; prepare regular summary reports; coordinate communications with media vendors; coordinate and participate in meetings; review proposals and provide POVs.
  • Communicate the national and local media plan to the field (Regional Marketing Directors and Local Co-op Agencies), including marketing assets, creative rotation, national media calendar, national media plan, etc.
  • Manage and communicate competitive reporting from national agency.
  • Close collaboration with media agencies to develop plans, identify needed adjustments to plans, and guide overall strategic direction.
  • Maintain high brand and ad awareness levels with measurement through outside partners and identification of appropriate media to drive desired results.
  • Partner with our franchisee and corporate store co-ops to ensure brand compliance and budget efficiencies. Develop model and manage process to ensure best in class execution of strategies.
  • Initiative to develop new solutions, develop new strategies, and address changes in competitive environment.
  • Partner with legal to ensure vendor and internal team compliance with opt-out requests, etc.
  • Primary contact to IT and Data Science on behalf of the Commercial organization.
