ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Director, IT Operations must be a progressive, innovative , tech-forward thinker who obsesses over the challenge of moving the IT org anization and the business forward. This senior leader will oversee all aspects of Corporate IT across all business lines at Apex Fintech Solutions. This role must lead an IT function which enables the business and maintains a strategic alignment between IT operations and Apex's business objectives . Key areas of accountability will include identity services, enterprise applications, employee technology experience, desktop services, and related infrastructure .
Duties/Responsibilities
Identity Services:
- Oversee the management of identity and access management (IAM) systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of user identities and access controls
- Implement, maintain and drive compliance related to policies and procedures for identity lifecycle management
Desktop Services:
- Oversee the provision of desktop services, including hardware and software support
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of desktop-related issues
- Manage the lifecycle of desktop equipment, including procurement, deployment, and disposal
Enterprise Applications:
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with business units to understand application needs and ensure alignment with business goals
- Lead the evaluation, selection and implementation of new enterprise systems
Employee Experience:
- Enhance the overall employee experience through effective IT support and services
- Implement tools and technologies that improve productivity and collaboration.
- Monitor and improve IT service delivery to meet employee needs
Infrastructure Management:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems and networks
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost optimization opportunities
IT Controls and Compliance:
- Ensures policies for all IT functions are in place, reviewed, and maintained regularly enforces compliance and provides the necessary education and awareness to all parties to manage risk to the firm, its assets and employees
- Coordinates IT Control tests, reviews and reporting with Compliance and 3rd party audits
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of prior work experience and 5+ years of experience as a people manager
- Proven experience leading and developing global IT Organizations
- Experience with implementing security best practices, meeting regulatory compliance requirements, and industry standards
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) is a plus
- Certification in ITIL, PMP, or similar frameworks prefered
Required Skills/Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of IAM technologies, such as Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and PKI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of IT professionals
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with managing vendors, contract reviews and negotiations
- Supporting and enabling ownership and accountability throughout the team
