Major Job Functions
- Key account management
- Customer relationship management and reporting
- Represent Finning in planned and ad-hoc customer meetings, presentations, seminars, etc. in areas of expertise in order to support strategic initiatives
- Participate in industry associations
- Identifying, researching, preparation and execution of business development opportunities
- Establishing and cultivating an external network for potential business development opportunities, including customers, competitors, partners, suppliers, OEMs, governmental contacts, trade associations, etc.
- Collecting, filtering and providing an initial assessment of development opportunities of potential value for Finning, including but not limited to acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, alliances, equity positions, etc.
- Preparing business cases for agreed-upon business development opportunities including but not be limited to projected value, projected costs, SWOT, market overview
- Responsible for revenue and cost management
- Responsible for recognizing and developing business development opportunities that will deliver growth and value Finning
- Responsible for helping to create an effective work environment which successfully contributes to the achievement of the business goals and objectives for Finning
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner
Specific Skills & Experience
- Team builder with the ability to work with employees and business leaders of different levels throughout internal and external organizations
- Time management, prioritization, project management and independent problem solving skills
- Must possess 5 years of sales/marketing experience
- Appreciation of financial management and administrative/legal/regulatory requirements
- Solid organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Appreciation of new equipment sales as well as for Product Support opportunities
- Must have the ability to understand technical aspects of product and application
- Must have experience in strategic planning and implementation, and a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles and practices
- Must possess strong leadership and motivational capabilities, and excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Technical experience or knowledge of Perkins product line would be an asset
