The opportunity 

In this dynamic role, you will lead a new team within medium voltage surge arrester in Wettingen. You will drive digitalization and continuous improvement, helping us understand our needs, explore possibilities, and develop a digital strategy aligned with our goals and Hitachi Energy’s strategy.

Our Operating Unit has around 105 employees, and our process industry production benefits greatly from digitalization and continuous improvements. How you’ll make an impact

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand our organizational needs and identify digital opportunities. Formulating a digitalization strategy covering local needs and aligning with global strategy

• Streamline internal digitalization efforts, eliminating fragmentation and fostering collaboration to prevent a patchwork effect

• Inspire and support teams across the organization to embrace continuous improvement through digitalization

• Manage and execute hands-on digitalization projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver results

• Build, form, and develop a small but dynamic team (approximately 3-4 members) to drive innovation and success

• Coordinating collaboration with internal Hitachi partners as well as external suppliers in project execution

Your background 

• More than 5 years of experience in operations, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing process management and quality assurance

• Expertise in systems integration and IT demand processes

• Strong understanding of production processes with a focus on integrating digital technologies for process improvement

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred) is advantageous

• In-depth knowledge of at least one of the systems: SAP, HVPLM, and digital process traceability (DPS - Hitachi's web-based system for traceability)

• Experience with Power BI and Power Automate, along with advanced data analytics and automation tools

• Knowledge of Automation Engineering, IoT solutions, and Cybersecurity

• Experience in leading change projects to successfully adopt digitalization, demonstrating tangible benefits and improvements

• Both spoken and written English and German needed
