Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long-range strategic initiatives, engineering fulfillment process improvements, and new AI/ML and automation tools needed to support Plant Systems business objectives.
- Provide technical consultation on AI models and methods, and how to apply them within the Plant design product and fulfillment pipeline for the GT, ST, HRSG, and BOP products throughout the business including supplier and field support.
- Assist team with Technical rigor to develop safe, high quality products while being actively Engaged during design process
- Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art AI/ML Plant design solutions in order to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs.
- Exercise Curiosity by striving for improved products & processes to support customers
- Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, or field issues.
- Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers using reports, records, and letters.
- Be a Helpful resource to all levels of engineering team and encourage dialogue between all groups
Lead the conceptualization, design, and architectural governance of advanced plant design solutions leveraging AI/ML to enhance performance, reliability, efficiency, and safety. Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for AI/ML integration within plant systems, ensuring long-term sustainability and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- For a role based in USA: At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
- For a role based outside USA: Significant experience in system engineering and deep knowledge of work processes and automation for the design of thermal power plants.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
