Job Description

Cordant Applications Studio Product Manager

Join our high‑impact Digital Platform team!

Baker Hughes is a global energy technology company serving the oil and gas industry in more than 120 countries. The Commercial and Sales organization drives growth by building strong customer partnerships, marketing hydrocarbons, and offering integrated equipment and service solutions. Focusing on digital transformation and energy transition, the team leverages data-driven insights to optimize sales performance and maximize customer value.

This role owns end-to-end product outcomes across strategy, roadmap, development, delivery, and adoption, working closely with Cordant product teams and, where needed, other Baker Hughes entities.

The role also has direct responsibility for a team of product managers and is accountable for shaping a cohesive product direction across multiple domains. The focus is on driving consistency, reuse, and scalability across the Baker Hughes ecosystem while enabling teams to move quickly without compromising quality or alignment.

Partner with the best
As a Cordant Applications Studio Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Own end-to-end product outcomes across vision, roadmap, delivery, adoption, and measurable business impact for the Applications Studio portfolio.
  • Define a multi-quarter roadmap that balances foundational platform investments, reusable component expansion, AI-enabled workflows, and near-term product line needs.
  • Translate customer, developer, and business pain points into clear product bets, success metrics, and adoption goals, drawing on patterns from modern software creation platforms and industrial data platforms.
  • Partner with UX, Engineering, Architecture, and Data teams from concept through release to ensure capabilities are usable, scalable, secure, and production ready.
  • Drive planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and execution rigor across multiple workstreams while maintaining focus on customer and developer outcomes.
  • Use rapid feedback loops, experimentation, and usage insights to iterate on platform capabilities and improve onboarding, activation, and adoption over time.
  • Apply strategic thinking and outcome orientation (turn vision into measurable adoption, reliability, performance, security and cost outcomes).
  • Put into practice your commercial mindset (packaging, pricing inputs, value realization and scaling adoption).
  • Influence without authority (align global, matrixed stakeholders and teams).
  • Showcase your platform/system thinking (design for reuse, extensibility, and ecosystem growth).
  • Lead with customer and partner focus (voice of customer, partner co-creation, and thought leadership).
  • Demonstrate strong people leadership and influence skills.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Significant experience leading product management for applications, data, analytics, or platform products.
  • Proven ownership of platform-scale products that are used by multiple teams or customers.
  • Strong understanding of industrial applications, composable architectures, user experience and application enabling platforms.
  • Experience operating in complex, global, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver end-to-end outcomes.
  • Understanding of industrial, energy, or asset-intensive domains.
  • Exposure to cloud-native and hybrid data architectures.
  • Experience with ecosystems, marketplaces or low-code platforms.
