About the Role:
The Digital & Technology (D&T) Product Manager – Transactional Tax is accountable for the end‑to‑product ownership of technology solutions supporting transactional tax, legal and regulatory change across Finance, ensuring solutions are compliant, scalable, secure and audit‑ready.
Acts as the key integrator for transactional tax, legal and regulatory change impacting Finance, ensuring that all component parts of a change are understood, aligned and collectively delivered.
Accountable for shaping, structuring and integrating complex regulatory requirements across Finance, Tax, Legal and Technology domains.
Brings together multiple delivery teams (e.g. ERP, data, integration, platforms, vendors) around a shared understanding of the end‑to‑end regulatory solution.
Not accountable for delivery execution, but accountable for ensuring that delivery teams are aligned on the problem, dependencies, boundaries and non‑negotiables.
Role Responsibilities
Integration & End‑to‑End Coherence- This is the distinctive value of the role.
Owns the end‑to‑end view of regulatory change, ensuring that individual workstreams or system changes combine into a coherent, compliant whole. Including forward plan
Identifies and manages cross‑team dependencies, overlaps and gaps (process, data, controls, reporting).
Ensures no “local” solution is designed or delivered in isolation where regulatory intent is end‑to‑end.
Acts as the constant integrator across initiatives where:
Multiple systems are impacted
Delivery is split across teams or vendors
Regulatory timelines are non‑negotiable
Problem Shaping & Solution Structuring
Leads the structuring of complex regulatory change into:
Clearly defined problem statements
Component solution areas
Cross‑team impacts and interfaces
Decomposes regulatory change into logical, integrable components, while retaining clear traceability to the overall regulatory outcome.
Produces integration‑ready artefacts (e.g. end‑to‑end solution views, dependency maps, requirements packs) that allow delivery teams to proceed with confidence.
Ensures consistent interpretation of regulatory requirements across all contributing teams.
Alignment of Delivery Teams
Aligns multiple delivery teams around:
A shared understanding of the regulatory objective
How each team’s contribution fits into the overall solution
Where alignment, sequencing or joint decisions are required
Facilitates alignment workshops, dependency discussions and design convergence — without assuming delivery ownership.
Acts as the single source of truth for “how this all fits together” throughout the change lifecycle.
Resolves ambiguity and misalignment early, before it becomes a delivery or compliance risk.
Governance & Decision Enablement
Structures decision‑ready views for governance, showing:
How all components collectively meet regulatory intent
Impacts, trade‑offs and residual risks
Enables senior leaders to make informed decisions by integrating inputs across teams, rather than presenting siloed perspectives.
Flags integration risks where individual deliveries may be on track, but the end‑to‑end outcome is at risk.
Risk, Controls & Audit‑Readiness
Ensures that control, audit and compliance requirements are consistently interpreted and applied across all solution components.
Identifies integration‑level risks (e.g. data hand‑offs, control ownership gaps) that may not be visible within a single team.
Works with Risk, Controls and Audit teams to ensure end‑to‑end compliance is designed and evidenced, even where ownership is distributed.
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to partner credibly with senior Finance stakeholders on complex problem‑solving and solution shaping
Proven experience bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous or complex initiatives
Strong capability to balance strategic objectives with value delivery and regulatory or compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Commercial and outcome‑focused mindset, with the ability to translate strategy into practical, value‑driven solutions
Collaborative working style, with experience partnering across Finance and Digital & Technology functions
Experience working closely with solution owners and business partners across reporting, controllership or tax‑related domains
