The Manager of Data Analytics will lead a dynamic team of data analysts and engineers within the Digital Technology department in Oshkosh Corporation’s Vocational business segment. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large data sets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analytics, leadership experience, and a strategic mindset to leverage data for optimizing business operations, enhancing customer experiences, and informing digital transformation initiatives.
YOUR IMPACT:
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, ensuring high performance, continuous skill development, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the data analytics strategy, ensuring it supports business objectives and drives digital transformation efforts. Oversee and assist in the build, development and maintenance of report systems, dashboards, data models, data automations, performance metrics, etc. and use those tools to support key business decisions.
Data Governance: Oversee the implementation of data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security across all digital platforms. Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables and adherence to Oshkosh standards, quality protocols, and industry best practices.
Analytics Implementation: Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics models and tools that deliver actionable insights to various business units, including marketing, operations, and product development.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities where data analytics can provide a competitive advantage. Support partnership with Corporate Advanced Analytics team and optimize existing processes for managing demand intake, strategic road mapping, status reporting, and project delivery/completion.
Reporting & Visualization: Direct the creation of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Innovation & Optimization: Stay abreast of the latest trends in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, and identify opportunities to incorporate these technologies into the company’s digital strategy.
Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects using advanced analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Vendor & Tool Management: Oversee the selection and management of data analytics tools, software, and external vendors, ensuring the best solutions are in place to meet the company’s needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in data analytics
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree

3+ years of successfully leading a team

Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI and other relevant technologies. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience in managing performance, career development, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay Range:
$102,800.00 - $176,800.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
