UMR, UnitedHealthcare's third-party administrator solution, is seeking an experienced digital solutions product manager who appreciates the opportunity to improve people's health through digital engagement. As an integral part of our Digital Solution's team, we're looking for a person who is fired up about partnering with business owners, developers, product owners and project management teams to improve the user's digital experience by connecting service touch points and experiences via web, mobile, email, and other new technologies.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere in Michigan as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engage project's target audience and communicate project vision, roadmap, and deliverables with key stakeholders, leadership, and project team.
  • Balance great product development with short deadlines and multiple priorities while considering dependencies from other products, applications, data, and projects
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
  • Partners with scrum masters, software engineer leadership, product owners and subject matter experts to manage and prioritize work intake
  • Works with the lead product manager to develop the Constituent Experience roadmap for digital experiences. Accountable for execution/delivery and support of the Constituent Experience roadmap for website and email products.
  • Acts as the ambassador for Member, Employer, Broker, Partner websites and emails internally and externally by performing demos, socializing project scope and timelines, creating product related presentations, and responding to product inquiries
  • Solves product related problems, makes decisions, completes trade off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
  • Partners with UX/UI designers to ensure product designs are usable, feasible and valuable
  • Serve as an escalation point to mitigate issues, remove impediments, and resolve issues related to Member, Employer, Broker, Partner websites and email as well as how they may intersect with other digital solutions
  • Participates and leads discovery sessions with other product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to define project requirements including product purpose, functionality, and experience
  • Collaborate with digital reporting analyst for utilization analytics to drive decisions and translate into product requirements. Monitor user feedback and metrics to drive better user experience and business value
  • Leads feature refinement sessions with project team to define features and capture acceptance criteria. Build and maintain a backlog of refined features, prioritized for delivery
  • Create visually appealing, persuasive, effective presentations for digital products and present to audiences ranging from scrum teams, stakeholders, leadership and business areas across the organization

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience determining project scope, leading projects and socializing project status and outcome to leaders, stakeholders, project teams, and business partners
  • 2+ years of data analytic experience making data driven product decisions
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud email product management
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Agile methodology for project management
  • Demonstrated digital experience with websites or mobile apps content development and collaboration with designers and business stakeholders demonstrated through one or combination of the following: work experience, training, education
  • Experience in digital website and email content and product strategy
  • Experience creating and presenting visually appealing, effective presentations using PowerPoint
  • Experience working independently, leading solutioning, managing and prioritizing deliverables for projects with multiple requirements, timelines and milestones
  • Proven history of working cross functionally and navigating a matrixed environment in a large company

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in healthcare, health insurance, etc.
  • Ability to turn ambiguity to action

  • Ability to quickly react to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinker / problem solver willing to take initiative with minimal direction
  • Independently initiates action and quickly responses to business needs

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
