Digital Solutions Engineer (Malta)

The Digital Solutions Engineer supports the design and delivery of digital and data-driven solutions across the Group. The role combines business analysis, data solution delivery, process automation, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.

The position focuses on understanding business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating operational requirements into practical digital solutions including reporting assets, data integrations, and workflow automations.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual operational processes.
  
• Implement workflow automations using tools such as Power Automate or similar platforms.
  
• Support the integration of digital tools that streamline reporting, approvals, and operational workflows.
  
• Explore and apply AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, data access, and reporting processes.
  
• Assist in developing internal awareness and responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities.
  

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and reporting needs.
  
• Gather, document, and validate business and data requirements.
  
• Map current-state and future-state processes and identify opportunities for digital improvement.
  
• Support the definition of business rules, metrics, and reporting logic.
  
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
  

• Design and deliver practical digital solutions that improve operational visibility and efficiency.
  
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and data extractions supporting reporting and analysis.
  
• Assist in designing reporting datasets and data structures aligned with business requirements.
  
• Integrate data from ERP systems, operational platforms, and other sources.
  
• Support testing, validation, and reconciliation of data outputs and digital solutions.
  

• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
  
• Assist in validating figures and investigating data discrepancies.
  
• Help ensure consistency of definitions and metrics across reports.
  
• Support business users in understanding and using data outputs effectively.
  

• Document requirements, data logic, assumptions, and solution designs.
  
• Support adherence to data standards, governance, and security requirements.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting, and process efficiency.
  
• Build knowledge of data platforms, tools, and best practices over time.
  

• Degree-level education, preferably in Information Systems, Business, Data, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  
• 3–5 years’ experience in a digital solutions, business analysis, automation, or data-related role.
  
• Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of SQL or similar data query tools.
  
• Experience working with ERP systems, operational systems, or SharePoint-based solutions.
  
• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or equivalent preferred.
  
• Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate or similar workflow tools.
  
• Awareness or practical exposure to AI-enabled tools in business environments is considered an advantage.
  
• Familiarity with Agile or structured project delivery methodologies.
  

• Strong analytical and structured thinking.
  
• Ability to document business processes and digital solution requirements clearly.
  
• Comfortable working between business users and technical teams.
  
• Detail-oriented, with strong appreciation for data accuracy and consistency.
