Job Summary/Description:  

If you love digital, streaming platforms, and social media channels, here is the role for you! Arizona’s Family (KTVK & KPHO) Marketing Department is looking for a Digital & Social Media Manager.

This employee will write, shoot, and edit priority content across multiple social media platforms to grow audience engagement and station brand exposure while driving viewership to digital, linear, and streaming products. Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, team-oriented, and have a positive can-do attitude, willing to work across departments to forward the audience growth goals on all digital and streaming platforms for KTVK and KPHO.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Working with the Director of Marketing and the entire Marketing team, as well as working closely with News Department employees.
• Producing engaging and visually compelling social media posts, short-form videos, graphics, and promotional assets for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
• Write copy that is platform-specific, brand-aligned, and optimized for engagement and reach.
• Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and digital producers to promote stories, investigations, and shows with a social-first approach.
• Support our lifestyle show and partnership initiatives (including our partnerships with sports teams) with branded content opportunities, allowing the client and client goals to determine how best to produce.
• Monitor trending topics to inform content strategy and capitalize on opportunities for engagement.
• Take advantage of opportunities to go in the field with talent based on content, partnerships, events, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:
• Two years of writing in a professional work environment

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, meet deadlines, work well as a team, and work independently.
• Exceptional communication skills and excellent knowledge of current events
• Writing (Articles, Press Releases, Social Posts)
• Editing (Video, photos via Adobe Creative & Canva)
• Digital/Social software (Facebook Business Manager, Crowdtangle, Arc, Google Analytics, SND, etc.)
• Demonstrate knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or equivalent work experience
