About the job

At Sanofi, we're committed to providing the next-gen healthcare that patients and customers need. It’s about harnessing data insights and leveraging AI responsibly to search deeper and solve sooner than ever before. Join our AI workflow accelerator as the Digital Product Owner (AI Workflows) and you can help make it happen.

Why this role matters?

We’re building next-generation digital workflows using AI, automation, and data platforms. To do that, we need product leaders. As Product Owner, your job is to own the problem space, drive learning, and help your team deliver outcomes, not just features. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to shape valuable, usable, and feasible solutions. This is a role for someone excited to craft clarity in complexity, work on real discovery, and help teams evolve toward true agility and ownership.

About Sanofi

We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main responsibilities (Note - these are generally aligned to prior responsibilities, experience (to 70% of them) but much better fleshed out and structured)

Own the Problem, Not Just the Backlog:

  • Define and frame product problems with users, data, and insights — not assumptions
  • Use discovery techniques (interviews, journey mapping, assumption testing, etc.)
  • Build roadmaps based on problems worth solving, not just business requests

Drive Dual-Track Discovery and Delivery:

  • Lead a product trio (PO, Engineering, Design) to continuously explore and deliver value
  • Define hypotheses and learning goals per sprint
  • Run experiments to validate ideas before investing full engineering time

Shape the Product With Clarity:

  • Define clear, measurable outcomes tied to user behavior and product value
  • Prioritize work based on evidence and impact, not urgency or pressure
  • Create outcome-oriented sprint goals, not just lists of tickets

Build Shared Understanding:

  • Use tools like story mapping, journey mapping, and collaborative design sessions
  • Align teams and stakeholders around the "why" before jumping to "how."

Engage & Align Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with business SMEs, leadership, compliance, tech, and design
  • Bring stakeholders into discovery, testing, and co-creation when possible
  • Use storytelling to align and rally people around problems and outcomes

Measure and Learn:

  • Define value metrics and track them post-release
  • Learn from real user behavior, not just delivery velocity
  • Use data to guide decisions, adapt direction, and fuel iteration
About you

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in cross-functional teams
  • Skilled at balancing discovery and delivery with clarity and adaptability
  • Experience defining product outcomes, slicing work, and measuring real value
  • Comfortable with dual-track agile, Lean Startup, and rapid validation
  • Familiar with story mapping, MVPs, hypothesis framing, and assumption testing
  • Familiarity with systems thinking or organizational agility
  • Experience in enterprise workflows, data-heavy platforms, or AI/LLM-based products
  • Track-record of problem-solving & overcoming roadblocks in a complex environment, with a hands-on “get things done” mindset

Skills and qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Strong communicator and facilitator; able to align diverse stakeholders, including executive audiences
  • Cross-functional leadership & influencing skills with ability to take decisions, think strategically and partner with business/other teams
  • Nice to have: Background in healthcare, biotech, or regulated domains; Knowledge of procurement or B2B systems; Knowledge of ITSM , HR systems
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Why choose us?

  • Learn what it takes to make a service with a truly global reach
  • Be part of an organization that values diversity, inclusion, and the richness of different backgrounds and experiences
  • Engage in meaningful work that combines the challenges of pharma, manufacturing, environmental matters and technical fields, offering abundant opportunities for professional growth and impact
  • Contribute to a company that is not only a leader in healthcare but also a pioneer in digital transformation, shaping the future of global health
