We are seeking a talented individual to join our Product & Customer Engagement team at Mercer Super. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Digital Product Owner
The Digital Product Owner supports the Digital Product Management team by turning product strategy into clear delivery plans and prioritised backlogs. Working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Technology teams and business stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality digital experiences across websites, apps and secure portals. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work and improving customer outcomes through agile delivery.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract
We will count on you to:
- Support Digital Product Managers in delivering the product roadmap and strategic initiatives
- Own and manage product backlogs, making sure work is prioritised and ready for delivery
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with development teams throughout the agile delivery lifecycle
- Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations and acceptance of completed work
- Collaborate with UX designers and researchers to incorporate customer insights into product development

- Demonstrated experience in digital product management or a similar role, with exposure to websites, apps or secure portals
- Experience working with technology teams to deliver customer and business outcomes
- Well-developed analytical, prioritisation and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and manage competing priorities
