As a Digital Product Owner for Insights and GEO at Coutts.com, you’ll gain hands-on exposure by supporting the product, design, and digital delivery for our bank through digital experiences, propositions, capabilities, and releases, with a specific focus on our GEO strategies, as well as thought leadership, insight, and investments on Coutts.com. You’ll also help us show up clearly and confidently across search and emerging AI-driven platforms by staying ahead of changes in algorithms, search behaviours, and generative AI, bringing forward new ideas we can test, learn from, and scale across the business.
In this role, you’ll support the experience and platform product vision and roadmap for Coutts.com by creating a prioritised backlog to improve customer experiences, driving continuous improvement across the domain, and identifying opportunities, while maintaining oversight across all initiatives within your space. We’ll also look to you to identify and support digital experiences that better meet our customers' needs at key moments and resolve pain points, informed by account research, Net Promoter Score (NPS), complaints analysis, and commercial and risk requirements. Once the work is defined, you’ll provide product and experience leadership, supporting delivery professionals and working collaboratively with the business and technology teams who use, support, or benefit from the change.
In addition, you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions for the benefit of the business
- Supporting the strategic product roadmap from the experience backlog, based on business priorities, to provide a clear delivery vision to the teams
- Continuously refining the digital product backlog to support future increments, reshaping the vision and developing the business case
- Building and maintaining close working relationships across the business, ensuring the right subject matter experts and decision-makers are bought to the table when needed
- Working closely with material risk takers and risk colleagues to make sure that risks are properly identified and managed
- Effectively escalating to address blockers, constraints, risks, and issues, enabling the smooth delivery of initiatives
We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in digital product and experience strategy improvement and delivery, with the ability to support the delivery of strategic direction for future customer experiences. You’ll need to bring knowledge of digital channels, including mobile, online, and digital propositions, digital marketing, analytics, and customer research, with a particular focus on websites. To succeed in this role, you’ll also need to demonstrate an understanding of product and experience management, including journey mapping, user experience (UX), and funnel management, alongside creative thinking and innovative, impactful customer experiences in fast-changing environments.
Moreover, a naturally curious mindset is essential, as you’ll test new ideas, explore emerging channels, and stay ahead of developments across the industry, including AI. You’ll also need hands-on experience with GEO experimentation and a clear appreciation of how AI-driven search is reshaping customer discovery. Acting as a trusted digital product advisor within the wealth business, you’ll be a compelling storyteller who champions Coutts clientele, bringing relevant industry knowledge to discussions, using data and insight effectively, and presenting clear and evidence-based options with a recommendation.
In addition, you’ll need:
- The ability to drive and deliver innovative ideas through agile ways of working, harnessing digital and technological advances that truly benefit our customers
- Experience with search engine optimisation (SEO), whether in-house or agency, with a solid understanding of technical SEO and how it supports great customer experiences
- Experience working with Marketing teams, with an understanding of campaigns, personalisation, and GEO
- Knowledge of how to build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions at different levels
- Excellent communication skills and storytelling abilities to engage colleagues at all levels, alongside experience in digital delivery and operations
- Confidence using tools like Adobe Analytics, Profound, and BrightEdge, with experience measuring performance and attributing impact considered a plus
- Knowledge of websites with a wealth or luxury focus, with an understanding of the needs of HNW and UHNW client base and the role digital plays alongside the wider suite of channels available
