The Digital Product Manager Procurement plays a key role in driving the digital transformation of our organization by taking ownership of all Hempel’s Procurement capabilities from a digital perspective. The Procurement Digital Product Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements, develop product roadmaps, and ensure successful product delivery. The primary focus will be on leveraging digital technologies to optimize our procurement processes and enable data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities are delivered in close collaboration Digital Solutions Architects and Digital Business Leads:

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Procurement initiatives.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business challenges and needs and translate them into product features and user stories.

  • Defining and driving the implementation of our new Digital Procurement Platform

  • Work closely with external consultants, development teams, architects, and designers to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

 

Product Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of product features and enhancements.

  • Conduct sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews to ensure effective execution of product roadmap.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance, making data-driven decisions to drive improvements.

  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of products.

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and digital, facilitating effective communication and managing expectations.

  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • The Digital product Manager will need the following competencies to effectively drive the delivery of digital initiatives.

    Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership skills to guide and inspire teams through digital delivery. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide clear direction and support to team members .

    Business Acumen: Possess a deep understanding of business processes within the capabilities of Procurement   Identify how digital technologies can drive value, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

    Data and Analytics: Have a solid understanding of data and analytics concepts and their application in digital transformation. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives.

    Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Translate complex digital concepts into clear and understandable language. Tailor messages to different audiences and utilize various communication channels.

    Problem Solving: Exhibit strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Identify barriers and challenges to digital transformation and develop innovative solutions. Anticipate and address potential risks and obstacles.

    Continuous Learning: Have a thirst for knowledge and a commitment to continuous learning. Stay updated on digital trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital transformation. Seek opportunities for professional development and growth.

You will become a part of the Digital Product Line, T&O-Team working in an international environment. The role is be based out of Denmark or Poland.

We are looking for

Candidates are expected to possess a Master's degree in fields such as engineering, manufacturing, computer science, or related disciplines - relevant work experience will be taken into account as well.

Furthermore we look for someone who demonstrates substantial experience in spearheading digital transformation initiatives specifically within manufacturing contexts. In addition, a robust comprehension of manufacturing processes, methodologies, and industry standards, including lean practices, continuous improvement, and Industry 4.0 principles, is highly valued.

Equally important is an extensive familiarity with digital technologies pertinent to manufacturing, encompassing automation, robotics, IoT, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.

As we are a global company we also value experience from working in an international setting with teams and stakeholders in multiple locations and time zones.
