This position is remote with a Monday through Friday schedule based around general business hours in Arizona. In this role you will empowering others to more effectively serve Sofia by building products for use by other Product Managers. While most of your responsibilities will vary based on the product lifecycle. Some of the more universal activities across a day or a week are:

  • Connect with the team and communicate: Attend core scrum team meetings; meet with stakeholders; check on developers and their progress, help them groom user stories, answer their questions, etc.

  • Analyze and learn: review products’ performance metrics, KPIs, conduct product/market research, conduct surveys and work with designers on user testing

  • Decide and Document: Write problem statements and hypotheses; write Epics, Features, review and prioritize backlog; update the product roadmap

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for collecting ideas and setting priorities for prototyping, developing, and creating digital products and services in support of Banner’s reinvention. This position is responsible for assimilating information from a variety of sources and developing a strategy and product roadmap to deliver engaging and meaningful digital experiences that produce real value for consumers and the organization. This position serves as a change agent and works collaboratively and serves as a key resource to leaders across the system to proactively identify, communicate and implement strategic frameworks and systems to improve digital experiences and delivery.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Leads cross-functional product teams through process of clarifying requirements and delivery expectations with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders. Oversees initiation and execution of continuous improvement efforts in coordination with research and deployment teams to optimize digital extension and transformation of services.
2. Manages return on investment (ROI) for digital solutions and manages digital products as assets of the organization. Designs, coordinates and performs audits of key functions to ensure data and process integrity; directs resolution of identified issues and monitors measures to ensure that improvements are maintained.
3. Performs gap analysis, sets priorities, develops and implements appropriate project plans and develops communication and materials for related programs and process improvements.
4. Collaborates with design team members to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction and consumer experience. Collaborates with leaders across the system to produce user centric, design driven products and align roadmaps across teams. Partners with clinical and operational staff to understand and communicate detailed requirements in a meaningful and actionable fashion.
5. Provides operational expertise and oversight of analysis and design of processes and digital products. Identifies improvement opportunities, participates in the selection of appropriate improvement approaches and supports operations management and improvement activities including design, implementation of improved operations and assessment of change.
6. Builds, supports and manages effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include partnership development, coordination of activities and information exchanges with stakeholders across geographies where Banner has a presence. Acts as a partner and consultant to internal stakeholders in the adoption of digital solutions to enhance existing services and to create new opportunities to serve Banner customers.
7. Acts as an expert resource to Banner on best practices for digital customer solutions as evidenced in other industries and in other healthcare organizations. Keeps current on emerging digital technologies and digital adoption and engagement trends. Uses knowledge of current technologies and trends to help drive Banner’s digital product roadmap. Serves as Voice of the Customer in the digital space. Collects and measures key product metrics against goals and operational KPIs. Uses data to drive decisions and the product roadmap.
8. This position has system-wide responsibility for product development and management through all stages from creation through continuous lifecycle management and improvements in support of the organization’s reinvention. This position functions under minimal supervision, requires critical thinking skills, and maintains effective communication on project status with various stakeholders and ensure timely, accurate and efficient reporting of data and processes. Position will interact with all levels of Banner leadership and personnel, outside organizations and vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong technical and business knowledge as typically obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, Education or related field.
Requires a strong knowledge of digital product management throughout the product lifecycle, from inception of ideas to continuous product improvement as demonstrated through a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Background in healthcare services, especially delivery solutions in complex, matrixed delivery environments is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated critical and creative thinker as evidenced by a portfolio of high-value digital projects, products and solutions Must have a strong working knowledge of process improvement, customer service, organizational culture, change management and product development. Must have a proven track record of successfully leading change with positive outcomes. Must possess demonstrated leadership and the ability to influence, collaborate with and motivate others, as well as serve as an internal catalyst for progressive, strategic and successful change in a large delivery system. Must have proven experience delivering and owning operational, technical and business solutions and extensive experience with process improvement and managing the organizational impact. Must also possess strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills, as well as the ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external contacts and stakeholders.
