The Digital Pathology Program Manager (f/m/d) for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the development of Digital Pathology implementation project plans, regular project review meetings, issuing of project minutes, assigning actions, and regularly updating Project Plans to ensure successful delivery of Digital Pathology Implementation projects across EMEA.
You will also be responsible for working with key stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure task completion by establishing priorities and countermeasures with team members and functional managers to make critical decisions to ensure timely completion, project signoff and project success.

You will be a part of the EMEA Digital Pathology Support & Implementation Team and report to the Senior Service Manager Digital Pathology EMEA responsible for implementing best in class Digital Pathology service support in the Pathological healthcare system. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead end-to-end Digital Pathology implementation projects across EMEA, with a strong focus on DACH, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
Act as the central coordination point between customers and internal teams, translating complex implementation requirements into clear project plans and driving successful execution.
Build and maintain robust, detailed project plans, managing multiple parallel customer implementations and ensuring transparency across all project phases.
Proactively monitor progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring high-quality delivery and a smooth customer experience from purchase order to go-live.
Provide clear reporting and escalation to project sponsors, highlighting project status, risks, mitigation actions, and key decisions to ensure timely project sign-off and success.
Develop and apply standardized project management best practices, leveraging Danaher Business System (DBS) principles to ensure consistent, reliable implementation delivery across sites.
Support knowledge sharing and capability building within the team, acting as a mentor and contributing to the development of future project management talent.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Proven experience in project management, ideally within a medical, healthcare, diagnostics, or regulated technical environment, managing complex customer-facing implementations.
Hands-on experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Trello, Jira, or similar platforms.
Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
A strong track record of delivering multiple projects in parallel, on time, within scope, and within budget.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with pathologists, laboratory managers, IT teams, and internal cross-functional partners.
High level of self-motivation, ownership, and initiative, thriving in a fast-paced, remote working environment with minimal supervision.
Fluent German and English language skills, required for close collaboration with German-speaking customers and international internal teams; additional languages are a plus.
