The Digital Media Designer will be responsible for creating and managing visually compelling digital content across various platforms to support brand awareness, marketing campaigns, and product promotions. This role will involve designing graphics, videos, animations, and interactive media for digital marketing initiatives that align with the company’s objectives. The Digital Media Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and eCommerce teams, to ensure cohesive and high-impact digital content.

This position will be based in Needham, MA. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Content Creation:
    • Create engaging visual content, including graphics, illustrations, infographics, banners, and animations for digital platforms such as websites, social media, and email campaigns.
    • Design video content, motion graphics, and animations for promotional videos, product demonstrations, and social media advertising.
    • Develop digital assets that align with the brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all digital channels.
  2. Social Media and Digital Advertising Support:
    • Design creative assets for social media posts, stories, and ads (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) that drive consumer engagement.
    • Work with the digital marketing team to produce ads, banners, and videos for online advertising platforms, including Google Ads, YouTube, and social media.
    • Stay up-to-date with social media design trends to create relevant and innovative content that resonates with target audiences.
  3. Website and eCommerce Support:
    • Design web banners, product images, landing pages, and other digital media assets for the company’s website and eCommerce platforms.
    • Ensure that web design elements are responsive and optimized for various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
    • Collaborate with the web development and UX/UI teams to ensure digital content is user-friendly and aligned with best practices.
  4. Email Marketing Campaigns:
    • Design eye-catching email templates, including banners, GIFs, and product images, that encourage user engagement and clicks.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create visual assets for email marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal promotions.
    • Optimize designs for both desktop and mobile email experiences.
  5. Brand Consistency and Innovation:
    • Maintain and evolve the visual language of the brand across all digital media, ensuring consistency in typography, color schemes, and style guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to push the boundaries of digital design, exploring new trends and tools to enhance the brand’s digital presence.
  6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Work closely with marketing, product, and eCommerce teams to ensure that digital content aligns with overall marketing strategies and business objectives.
    • Communicate and collaborate with external vendors or freelancers when necessary to support large-scale projects or campaigns.
    • Present design concepts to stakeholders and adjust designs based on feedback and brand requirements.
  7. Optimization and Performance Monitoring:
    • Analyze the performance of digital media assets, using data from platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and email marketing tools to understand consumer engagement.
    • Make recommendations for design adjustments based on user behavior data and campaign performance metrics.
    • Continuously iterate and optimize digital content to enhance consumer interaction and conversion rates.
  8. Asset Management and File Organization:
    • Maintain an organized library of digital assets, including templates, design files, and media for future use.
    • Ensure proper file naming conventions and version control to keep assets easily accessible and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital media design or graphic design, preferably in the consumer goods industry or related fields.
  • Proficiency in design and multimedia software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, or Sketch.
  • Strong understanding of digital design trends, UX/UI principles, and responsive design.
  • Experience with video editing, motion graphics, and animation creation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with eCommerce and digital marketing platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, or Magento.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic web design principles.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools like Google Analytics to evaluate content performance.
  • Knowledge of photography and video production is a plus.
