Wood Mackenzie is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist for an 11-month contract to support the strategic activation of various campaigns across our digital platforms. This role is a global role working with key stakeholders to support our business goals across audience growth, engagement and lead pipeline generation. This is a maternity cover role offering the opportunity for a creative, innovative digital marketer to drive real results.

Role Purpose 

Covering multiple aspects of digital marketing, the main purpose is to identify, deliver and optimise end-to-end digital campaigns that drive key business results. Working with marketing, external delivery agencies, and other stakeholders, you will focus on understanding audience personas, product offerings and messaging to develop and execute campaigns across appropriate digital channels. Your goal is to grow and engage audiences at each stage of the B2B funnel.

You will be responsible for working closely with the broader marketing organisation, including our programme, product, events, corporate and performance marketing teams to drive effective and efficient digital activations utilising the company's marketing technology stack and channels. This position reports to the Digital Marketing Director.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate full-funnel digital marketing activations across paid media (PPC, LinkedIn, Programmatic)
  • Identify opportunities for SEO and AI Search, working closely with subject matter experts to form briefs and collaborate with external agencies on delivery
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns in close collaboration with programme marketing
  • Optimise campaign journeys from digital channel to landing page, using data to make informed decisions and deploying A/B testing strategies to identify performance enhancement opportunities
  • Regularly utilise our marketing performance reports to understand commercial results and support campaign prioritisation
  • Own monthly digital reporting for your relevant campaigns
  • Utilise AI wherever possible to streamline processes, tasks and ideation
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure effective activation
  • Mentor junior team members to support their development
  • Work closely with web, content and social teams to ensure best practice across channels and customer journeys

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced B2B digital marketing specialist, ideally with broader knowledge of B2B marketing principles and MarTech supporting full-funnel marketing from awareness through to lead generation.

Knowledge of the energy & commodity markets would be beneficial but is not essential.

You will have:

  • Proven B2B digital marketing experience
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at stakeholder management and engaging/influencing teams
  • Ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences
  • Creative problem-solving and innovation-driving capabilities
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, SEO tools, Dreamdata, StackAdapct, etc)
  • Experience in planning and executing integrated digital campaigns
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for quickly grasping and simplifying complex concepts while maintaining key messages
