The Role

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing & Paid Social Manager at Bass Pro Shops is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of paid social media campaigns. This role will work closely with the broader marketing team to ensure that social media efforts align with overall brand and business objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, a creative mindset, and a passion for outdoor recreation and retail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive paid social media strategies that align with business goals.
  • Partner cross functionally to understand business objectives and align digital marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences and key opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media plans with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Set up, manage, and optimize paid social media campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest).
  • Monitor daily performance metrics to ensure campaigns meet business objectives and ROI targets.
  • Work with the creative team to develop compelling ad creatives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and executive leadership on a regular basis.

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in paid social media management, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Proficiency with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with digital marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Passion for outdoor activities and familiarity with the Bass Pro Shops brand is a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of Google, Bing, Facebook/Instagram, and other applicable Digital Ad Platforms
  • Google Ads Certification a plus
  • Expertise in Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Solid understanding of E-Commerce, B2C experience preferred
  • HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires a high degree of concentration and attention to detail in addition to creative inclinations
