What's the role?

As a Digital Marketing Associate, Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing marketing strategies by analyzing lead generation data and customer behavior across digital platforms. Your responsibilities include examining funnel performance, lead conversion rates, and customer journey insights to refine targeting strategies and enhance conversion optimization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will utilize analytics tools to track campaign effectiveness, conduct rigorous A/B testing, and produce detailed reports that guide decision-making. With a focus on leveraging data for actionable insights, you will contribute to maximizing ROI and improving user experience across various digital channels.

The Digital Marketing Associate, Data Analyst will work closely with the marketing teams (ICS, Product, and Channel Marketing), supporting teams (such as programmers and local/Global IT staff), and vendors to support the success of high-impact campaigns. The Digital Marketing Associate, Data Analyst will support the North America overall marketing strategy as a passionate advocate of the customer, and a champion for our products and brand.

Support the development and execution of digital programs, tools, platforms, technologies and/or promotions to enable ZEISS to meet/exceed sales and profitability objectives.

  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities.

    • Work with the marketing and sales teams to analyze various campaigns and activities

    • Measure campaign performance metrics against specified KPI’s and/or industry benchmarks to determine performance and assess effectiveness

    • Manage the metrics and performance data for ongoing and ad hoc campaigns and activities

    • Make recommendations for optimization

    • Strategize with the marketing and sales teams on how and when to implements optimization recommendations

    • Manage the metrics and performance data to accommodate optimization changes within campaigns and/or activities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of lead generation data, customer behavior, and conversion rates across digital platforms.

    • Analyze all sources of leads, and the journeys in which they were received – attribute to campaigns where applicable

    • Analyze customer behavior in relation to lead quality, source and journey

    • Analyze the various digital conversion points, compare rates against KPIs and/or benchmarks

    • Identify and report on patterns within the data

    • Recommend optimizations

    • Strategize with marketing team (local and global) on implementation
       

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop data-driven strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.

    • Meet regularly with marketing teams to present data and workshop optimization strategies

    • Research and forecast resultant strategies using company, market/industry and benchmark data

    • Make recommendations based on data-driven results, research and findings

    • Manage optimizations to campaigns and activities with the marketing team
       

  • Generate detailed reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

    • Generate ongoing and ad hoc reports for all campaigns and activities

    • Create and maintain data dashboards with the most up-to-date data possible

    • Continuously analyze the data and make timely observations and recommendations

    • Provide analysis (summaries) to accompany data to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
       

  • Continuously evaluate and refine strategies based on performance data and market insights.

    • Ensure market intelligence is up to date on an ongoing basis

    • Research market/industry data, analyze any changes and identify opportunities

    • Work with the marketing team on overall strategies

    • Manage regular reporting of performance data and marketing insights
       

  • Collaborate with agencies, global teams, and other vendor partners

    • Manage relationships with internal and external partners

    • Create a close relationship with our global teams, and be an extension of our data intelligence

    • Collaborate with internal (local and global) teams on all data analysis methodologies, performance metrics, and overall strategies

    • Manage external agencies and vendors

  • Follows safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership.

Secondary responsibilities

  • Support development of conversion points to optimize user funnels

  • Utilize analytics tools to track and report on key metrics, trends, and insights.

  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities and best practices.

  • Support the implementation and integration of digital marketing technologies and platforms.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analysis and reporting activities.

  • Support a seamless and cohesive ecosystem between and across all ZEISS digital platforms used with Marketing, Sales, Customers and Patients.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 2+ years of proven experience in digital marketing analytics, data analysis, or a similar role.

  • Experience in optical or similar medical/technical product category preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.

  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and display advertising.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.

  • Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to analyze various data streams to make recommendations and optimize performance.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organization and across functions.

  • Responds positively to direction, while also taking initiative and being self-motivated.
