Purpose Statement: The Digital Manufacturing Operations Engineer Sr is responsible for optimizing and managing manufacturing processes and systems using digital technologies. This role provides critical on-site support in Guadalajara to address current system knowledge gaps and align operations with global strategy. You will utilize tools such as automation, data analytics, simulation, and machine learning to improve efficiency, quality, and agility, while implementing digital solutions that streamline production, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
Key Job Accountabilities
- SRV Support & Operational Alignment: Serve as the primary point of contact for daily SRV (Service) escalations and support. Align SRV operations with global strategy, ensuring that production workflows are optimized and consistent with organizational goals.
- Strategic Digital Transformation: Actively participate in the global "Demo" project, specifically focusing on the transition from the legacy GSF system to Critical Manufacturing. Identify technical gaps between current systems and new customer requirements.
- Innovation & Technical Mentorship: Develop innovative and high-quality manufacturing solutions that satisfy stakeholder requirements. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to other team members within the site.
- Communication & Reporting: Demonstrate effective communication with internal and external customers. Translate daily SRV operational issues into meaningful, high-level directional plans and technical presentations for site leadership.
- Project Documentation: Ensure accurate technical and site-specific documentation, adhering to quality standards, industrial standards, and change management procedures.
- Independence: Demonstrate the ability to work independently across multiple phases of the Manufacturing Process without constant direction from functional management or mentors.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field preferred).
- Experience: 4 or more years of related experience. (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Contextual Preference:
- Strong preference for internal candidates to minimize onboarding time and provide immediate value.
- Foundational knowledge of GSF systems and familiarity with the SRV roadmap is highly desirable.
Other Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in CAD/CAM software for process design. Thorough understanding of PLM systems for product lifecycle management. Proficiency in simulation and data analysis software (e.g., Statistical Process Control) for optimizing workflows.
