GHD is seeking a highly skilled Digital Lead based in Auckland, New Zealand. This pivotal role will drive digital transformation across our infrastructure clients and projects, combining technical expertise with market leadership.

As the Digital Lead, you will be leading the charge in delivering innovative digital solutions that address the evolving needs of the infrastructure sector. You will play a key role in driving business development, expanding GHD’s market presence, and enhancing the visibility of our digital capabilities across the NZ Pacific region.

You will also represent GHD at industry forums, conferences, and other external engagements, further strengthening our brand and leadership in digital innovation. Your efforts will directly impact GHD's strategic growth while shaping the future of infrastructure through cutting-edge digital solutions.

The role:

• Develop and Deliver Digital Solutions: Create and implement digital strategies that align with current and future market needs. Lead the development of cutting-edge digital solutions, incorporating technologies such as BIM, GIS, AI, and Digital Engineering.
• Business Development (BD): Lead efforts to expand market presence through new business opportunities, client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Proactively identify opportunities for digital solutions across sectors like Transport, Water, Property, Energy, and Environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external industry leaders to define and align digital strategies with client needs.
• Influence Digital Strategy: Help in shaping digital strategy for projects across the APAC region, ensuring that GHD’s digital solutions remain competitive and forward-thinking.
• Thought Leadership: Share knowledge across the industry by contributing to forums, workshops, and publications. Act as a subject matter expert in Digital Engineering, GIS, Data Analytics, and AI.
• Client Engagement & Strategic Planning: Represent digital services during pre-bid/bid, client engagements, and strategic planning phases to ensure that the digital solutions proposed align with client goals.

About you:

• Experience: A relevant university degree in an engineering discipline with ideally 10+ years in driving digital transformation within the infrastructure sector, with expertise across Transport, Water, Property, Energy, and Environment.
• Leadership & Influence: Strong individual contributor with the ability to shape strategy, mentor teams, and guide digital transformation efforts. 
• Business Acumen: Solid understanding of infrastructure sector drivers, with proven ability to generate revenue, expand market presence, and deliver client-centric digital solutions aligned with business goals.
• Digital Transformation Expertise: Mastery in BIM (Building Information Modelling), GIS, Data Analytics & AI, and Digital Engineering. Experience in Digital Asset Management and integrating digital solutions throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Standards & Methodologies: Extensive knowledge of ISO 19650 for information management and proven experience of implementing the framework across complex orgainsations.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to influence digital strategy, share knowledge, and drive collaborative solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex digital concepts in an accessible way. Skilled in client engagement, pre-bid/bid processes, and strategic planning.
• Tech-Savvy: High attention to detail and a passion for emerging technologies. Comfortable working with various digital platforms like BIM and GIS to drive innovation in infrastructure projects.
