Digital Journalist

Your Role: Digital Journalist

As a Digital Journalist at Global, you will help evolve and expand our digital offering across our marketing leading apps and websites. We’re looking for online journalists who live and breathe news. As an all-rounder - you’ll be able to write, edit and curate news, with knowledge of SEO and social media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create content for one of the UK’s leading news brands
  • Use a variety of skills to bring your journalism to a wide audience
  • Cover a wide variety of stories for LBC’s digital audience

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Covered multiple stories for LBC’s website
  • Pitched ideas, carried out interviews
  • Reacted to breaking news
  • Written live blogs 
  • Built partnerships with multiple internal stakeholders in the London and regional newsrooms
  • Contributed towards LBC’s digital readership targets


What You’ll Need

  • Experience of working in a newsroom.
  • All the skills needed to be an online journalist.
  • This will require overnight and weekend work.
  • You’ll be working from our London office, in Leicester Square.
