The Role

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Digital and IT Senior Analyst defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related information technology requirements and systems. Collaborating with Group and Division subject matter experts and 3rd party IT vendors, they lead directly, or co-lead, single technology or regional IT projects with accountability for completing on time, budget and meeting expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with IT manager and leadership team to prioritize business information projects
  • Works directly division business leaders to scope and solve business information projects
  • Obtains data from structured Data Sources: SQL, DB2, Power BI, mainframe in order to define specific problem to analyze and conduct analysis in structured format
  • Designs, develops, and implements data strategy
  • Designs, develops, implements and maintains system processes
  • Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • Continually investigating better methods to improve monitoring, discovering, and delivering better value to customers

This position may be assigned (but is not limited to) one of the following key Digital and IT disciplines and/or services:

Application Programming

  • Software Support
  • Database Administration
  • PC Support
  • LAN/WAN Support
  • Help Desk
  • Engineering Systems
  • IT Security
  • Business Systems (MSS, JDE, SAP or similar)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field (Business Administration, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.).
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a heavily data dependent environment
  • Proven experience developing and implementing business unit data strategy
  • Advanced dashboard and report writing using Power BI, Excel and SQL using relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of query language(s)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

    Project leadership and business workflow experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relates well with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability
