Description of Role:
The Digital Innovation Engineer role will play a crucial role in integrating digital technologies into our manufacturing processes. The position will be responsible for implementing and optimizing digital solutions to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest quality of consumer products.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
- 3+ years of experience in implementing digital solutions
- Strong understanding of automation and data analytics
- Experience in managing projects
- Proficiency in software systems including MS Office and e-mail
Physical Requirements:
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
- Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Understanding of Weaver, PowerBI and Industry 4.0 concepts
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and identify areas for digital transformation.
- Develop comprehensive digital implementation plans aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices (MES, Visualization Software, etc.)
- Evaluate, select, and implement digital technologies such as IoT devices, sensors, automation systems, and data analytics tools.
- Establish robust data collection and management processes to gather insights for process optimization.
- Utilize data analytics tools to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor and assess the performance of current digital systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure the integration and compatibility of digital tools with existing infrastructure.
- Train associates with new implementations regarding changes in digital or manufacturing processes relative to their role and responsibilities.
- Any ad hoc requests as requested
