Leadership Development Program Overview
The Polaris Digital & Information Technology Development Program (D&IT LDP) offers you the unique opportunity to accelerate your career development, business knowledge, and leadership skills through dynamic rotations across our D&IT organization. In each rotation you will be challenged to develop your skills, further build your business and IT foundation, and accelerate your career development for future positions with significant responsibility.
You will have an individualized development plan during your rotations in the Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) department. These rotations are designed to help build a solid and well-rounded breadth and ability to drive dynamic work across Information Technology. Rotations will be based upon skills and interest of program participants that span across Predictive Data Science, Digital Product Development (Product Management, Software, Digital Marketing Ops), and Infrastructure & Cyber Security.
Program Length: 2 Years
Rotation Length: 6 Months (4X)
Placement Locations could Include: Twin Cities with opportunity for rotations at one of our Manufacturing facilities depending on the team/area you are placed in.
Areas you’ll gain exposure to in your rotations include:

Predictive Data Science: You will create recommendations for complex business decisions using a wide variety of data science techniques - from exploratory data analysis to predictive analytics. In addition to advanced analytics skills, you will work on integrating and preparing large, varied datasets, designing and implementing production algorithm scoring, and communicating results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Through rotations in the track of Predictive Data Science you will develop advanced end-to-end analytics and technology solutions that drive value for the Polaris and our customer.

Infrastructure & Information Security: IT infrastructure refers to the underlying technology components that support an organization’s operations. It encompasses hardware, software, networks, and data centers. Information security focuses on safeguarding data, systems, and networks from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats. IT Infrastructure provides the foundation, while Information Security ensures the safety and integrity of that foundation. In this Track you will gain a large breath of experience spanning across multiple technologies, understanding the basics and gaining transferrable skills.

Digital Product Development:

Product Management: In an IT Product Management role, you sit at the intersection of technology, business, and user experience. You will focus on the vision for a product or service, set the strategy and roadmap, and work with various teams to define and execute its success.

Software: In a Software role you will be exposed to real world use of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to collaborate on all facets of software solution design, coding, testing methodologies and documentation. You will be working in a task-oriented scrum environment that builds team collaboration.

Digital Marketing Operations: In a Digital Marketing Operations role, you play a crucial role in bridging marketing and technology within an organization. This involves applying capabilities, processes, and technologies to optimize digital channels, enhance activity, and drive bottom line growth.

The Selection Process:
Applications will be open from September to December 2024. If selected, you will participate in a MS Teams panel interview with an HR leader and two functional business leaders. Upon accepting an offer, in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 (depending on your graduation date), you will collaborate with the Early Talent team to be matched with your first rotational assignment, team, and location through a thorough matching process. This process begins with the Early Talent Team providing guidance on the matching process and completing a Brand Slide. The Brand Slide, tailored to your specific program, provides insights to the team and assists in identifying the most suitable rotation aligned with your strengths, areas for development, interests, and business needs.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a graduate degree with a technical emphasis. Common degrees for this program include (but not limited to): Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, MIS, Data Science, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Cyber/Network Security/Engineering

Graduating between December 2024-June 2025

Minimum overall GPA of 3.0

Ongoing geographic flexibility: you must be willing to travel and relocate between sites for your rotations as well as mobility beyond the rotational program to support accelerating your development.

Willingness to learn a wide array of technologies both on-premises and in the cloud.

Active leadership experience in student organizations and/or work experiences with interest to continue to grow your leadership skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams
