Job Purpose and Impact
- The Digital Forensics Lead, Core Cyber Operations - Forensics, Discovery and Insider Investigations, enhances our investigative capabilities by leading digital forensic investigations, training junior team members, and collaborating closely with the internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Core Cyber Operations - Forensics, Discovery and Insider Investigations, this role is pivotal in maintaining the trust and integrity of our investigative capabilities.
- This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital forensics and investigations. They will be responsible for enhancing forensic methodologies and solutions that improve our investigative processes and outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
- NETWORKING: Collaborate with stakeholders, including Law, Ethics & Compliance, and Core Cyber Operations, to ensure comprehensive and ethical investigations. Engage third-party service providers as necessary.
DIGITAL FORENSICS: Lead complex digital forensic investigations to identify, collect, analyze, and preserve digital evidence. As needed, consult with eDiscovery peers on data collection.
QUALITY & REPORTING: Oversee and train junior team members on investigation quality standards. Compose fact-based reporting of investigative findings.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their forensic skills and knowledge. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in digital forensics and cybersecurity to continuously improve our capabilities.
AUTOMATION: Develop and deploy scripts and tools to streamline investigation operations. Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to identify opportunities for automation and improve overall investigation maturity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
FORENSIC INVESTIGATIONS: Conducts complex forensic investigations and leads liaison with employee relations team to gather evidence and understand the impact of cyber incidents.
E-DISCOVERY SERVICES: Delivers electronic discovery services for legal purposes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 5 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 6 years or more of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of digital forensics principles and techniques.
Proven hands-on experience in forensic acquisition, data analysis, and reporting.
Experience with process automation
Industry-relevant certification(s) (e.g. GIAC GCFE, GCFA, GCFR)
