Why you will love this opportunity as Digital Experience (Dx) Technical Lead at Civica
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Digital Experience (Dx) Technical Lead to take full responsibility for the technical performance, reliability, and ongoing enhancement of our Optimizely Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
In close collaboration with the Dx Product Manager, you will ensure that all technical solutions are aligned with business goals and product strategies. This essential role combines platform ownership, technical execution, SEO proficiency, and performance optimization to deliver a scalable, secure, and high-performing digital environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Platform Administration
- Own and manage the Optimizely (Episerver) CMS & DXP environment
- Maintain user roles, governance, workflows, and platform integrations
- Keep architecture and process documentation up to date
Technical Delivery
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions and plans
- Lead discovery, design, estimation, and development delivery
- Ensure platform meets performance, security, and accessibility standards
- Manage technical backlog and partner with the Dx Product Manager
SEO & Performance
- Own on-site SEO best practices and implementation
- Monitor Core Web Vitals, search performance, and resolve issues
- Ensure accurate tracking and analytics integration
Governance & Quality
- Enforce coding standards, QA, and deployment processes
- Partner with InfoSec on security and compliance
- Ensure adherence to UX, brand, and accessibility standards
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Dx Product Manager on priorities and delivery
- Support marketing and content teams with technical expertise
- Act as a trusted advisor on digital experience technology
Requirements
What you will bring:
- 5+ years in technical web development or platform management roles
- Strong experience with Optimizely (Episerver) CMS / DXP (admin-level expertise)
- Solid understanding of modern web architecture (e.g., .NET, REST APIs, CDNs, cloud hosting)
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Hotjar)
- Strong knowledge of web performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals
- Experience managing technical roadmaps and working with product teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with marketing technology stacks (e.g., Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, HubSpot)
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and QA automation frameworks
- Experience managing global or multi-site digital environments
- Power BI knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
