As our Digital & Data Strategy & Governance Lead, you’ll guide and shape how we use digital tools and data to support our people and customers. You’ll help create the overarching digital and data strategy for Care Services, making sure each product team is aligned, connected and moving in the same direction. You’ll help set and maintain the standards that keep our digital and data environment safe, trusted and forward‑looking.

You’ll also bring curiosity and a future‑focused approach. You’ll scan the horizon for emerging technologies and opportunities, advise on new developments, and champion ways that digital and data can create better outcomes. It’s a role where you’ll influence direction, promote innovation, and act as a trusted partner across Care Services.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Support & Alignment

  • Shape, support and deliver the digital and data strategy for Care Services.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to make sure individual product strategies align with wider Care Services and Market Unit aims.
  • Bring teams together to promote consistency, reduce duplication and maximise value across the product portfolio.

Governance & Quality

  • Lead the development and implementation of governance frameworks, policies and standards for digital and data products.
  • Embed accountability, stewardship and consistent quality across digital and data practices.
  • Support teams in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR and sector‑specific standards.
  • Provide clear reporting on digital and data governance‑related risks.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with governance teams, Product Managers and leaders across Bupa UK.
  • Represent Care Services in working groups and forums focused on digital and data strategy.

Innovation & Horizon Scanning

  • Monitor emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities that strengthen our digital and data capability.
  • Champion digital and data differentiators that create value and improve outcomes.
  • Encourage digital enablement and data literacy across Care Services.

Performance, Reporting & Expertise

  • Define, track and report on KPIs for strategy delivery, governance and transformation.
  • Offer subject matter expertise on digital and data governance and regulatory considerations.
  • Stay informed on best practices and trends in digital and data product development

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in data governance, digital product strategy or product management in a regulated or healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital and data governance principles, frameworks and strategic alignment.
  • Experience supporting product vision and strategy across complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, platforms, analytics and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Desirable

  • Experience in product management, Agile or hybrid delivery, or relevant certifications such as CDMP, DGSP or TOGAF.
  • An understanding of Care Services or the social care sector.
