Job Description:
The Digital Manufacturing Engineer – Continuous Improvement will lead the local implementation and adoption of Riobot, an AI-powered troubleshooting and knowledge management solution, at our Royal Canin manufacturing site in Lewisburg, Ohio.
Reporting to the Industrial Engineering/Supply Excellence Manager, this role will serve as the critical connection between site Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Education and Training, and regional and global Riobot teams. You’ll help bring Riobot to life on the plant floor, integrating it into daily workflows, capturing site-specific knowledge, strengthening troubleshooting capabilities, and helping Associates confidently use the technology in their day-to-day work.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis or visualization tools such as Power BI or Python.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to train, coach, and support end users.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Education and Training, and other cross-functional teams.
- An analytical, problem-solving mindset with an understanding of manufacturing processes; knowledge of the Dry Petcare process is a plus.
- Technical knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems and the ability to validate troubleshooting information.
- Experience supporting digitalization initiatives, manufacturing technology projects, or AI deployments is preferred.
- Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize, synthesize information, and act on user feedback.
- Experience with MSE Manufacturing or a comparable manufacturing excellence system is preferred.
- Lead and manage the local deployment of Riobot, ensuring timely execution, milestone tracking, and regular progress reporting to site leadership and regional and global Riobot teams.
- Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators related to Riobot adoption, user satisfaction, operational efficiency, and downtime reduction.
- Track critical issues and escalate them to regional or global support teams when needed.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Education and Training, and regional and global Riobot teams to align the deployment with daily workflows and share best practices.
- Build excitement and adoption by clearly communicating Riobot’s value to local stakeholders and incorporating Riobot training into onboarding and development processes.
- Support pilot testing of new Riobot features and validate that the functionality meets the needs of the manufacturing site.
- Document deployment processes, lessons learned, and best practices to support ongoing training and future rollouts.
- Deliver training sessions and hands-on support to operators, technicians, and other site stakeholders, helping them confidently and effectively use Riobot in their daily work.
- Promote continuous improvement by gathering and analyzing stakeholder feedback to identify challenges and improve the Riobot user experience.
- Translate local needs and user feedback into clear, actionable recommendations that strengthen the solution.
- Partner with Education and Training teams to align Riobot’s knowledge content with educational programs, operating procedures, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Develop and maintain Riobot’s knowledge base using accurate, site-specific process and troubleshooting information.
- Review and validate Riobot-generated troubleshooting responses to ensure the information is accurate, relevant, and appropriate for the manufacturing environment.
