Turning Point Action is a 501(c)(4) organization that works to mobilize conservatives in the election or defeat of a candidate. Turning Point Action registers voters and engages the conservative base at a grassroots level to recruit Precinct Committeemen, and fight for election integrity and conservative values.

Job Description: Turning Point Action is seeking a mission driven Digital Content Specialist to read, gather, analyze, and interpret complex information for various projects that are critical to our mission. Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to, researching and looking into a multitude of topics particularly those related to voter registration, state-specific voting information, voting trends, election policy, civic engagement, and voter behavior for new and existing projects. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting in-depth research on voting-related issues, such as state-level election laws, voter turnout patterns, and civic initiatives, as well as other topics relevant to ongoing projects. The ideal candidate should have a passion for reading and analyzing complex information to support our internal team with educational marketing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct thorough research on a wide range of topics including voter registration, voting laws, election procedures, turnout data, and civic engagement strategies.
  • Summarize complex voting-related research into clear presentations, proposals, website information, and more.
  • Oversee website content related to voting information across all 50 states.
  • Develop clear, engaging copy to communicate important voting updates and educational content to our audience via social media.
  • Ensure all gathered information is accurate, credible, and well-sourced.
  • Help organize voter education materials, assist in coordinating with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
  • Track and analyze the outreach strategies and activities of other voter organizations, campaigns and advocacy groups.
  • Maintain organized records of sources, notes, and references for future use.
  • Collaborate closely with your manager to support the planning and development of new projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Proficiency with reading and understanding complex information.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. government structures, election laws, and research methods.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of creating meaningful, audience-centered messaging about voting.
  • Must be able to work in the office at our Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Strong and efficient writing skills. 
  • Unrelenting passion for conservative ideas and principles.

  • Experience growing and scaling social media platforms through effective messaging
  • Strong grasp of conservative issues, messaging, and movement priorities
  • Familiarity with state and federal election laws, voter behavior trends, or policy advocacy
  • Exhibits a warrior-spirit mindset and fearless approach
