Digital Content Operations Manager, Remote
The Digital Content Operations Manager plays a critical role in working with our content leaders in 74 radio markets to ensure our websites are a well-curated experience for our hyper-local audience.
As a member of the Digital Content Operations team, you will support our local content creators with content marketing, building contests, updating website navigation, creating digital traffic reports, and flawless execution of content sponsorships.
Experience in a digital editorial environment is preferred. The ideal Digital Content Operations Manager is empathetic as they assist our local content creators, a consummate team player who won't hesitate to step in when a teammate needs and extra hand, and service-oriented problem solver.
This position reports to the Vice President of Content.
Responsibilities
- Website maintenance: update show schedules, navigation menus and dynamic leads
- Contesting: assist markets with building out local digital contests
- Content marketing: schedule and automate Facebook promotion of evergreen regional content
- Newsletters: Updating and checking newsletter feeds
- Reporting: Building analytics reports and diagnosing issues with Content Dashboards
- App alerts: Sending app alerts for syndicated shows and group contests
- Cross posting: Monitoring traffic for real-time surges and cross posting regionally
- Content Improvement: Monitoring traffic for real-time surges and optimizing for revenue (adding stronger galleries, adding linkbacks, copyediting, etc.)
Qualifications
- Five years of online editorial experience with exceptional writing, editing, SEO skills
- Strong grasp of how to use popular social media networks (like Facebook Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) to promote content
- Must be a consummate multi-tasker (with excellent communication skills) who is understanding of the ever-changing culture of the internet
- Ability to prioritize and focus under fast-paced pressure while managing multiple tasks and projects
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, editorially and technologically
- Proficiency in the use of digital technology, including online publishing platforms
- An understanding of the ever-changing culture of the internet
- Must have great communication skills, obsessive attention to detail, and a sense of humor (We like to have fun!)
