Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Digital Channels Sales Lead is to bring strategy to life by delivering on agility and on-time execution while building partnerships with existing and new Pureplayer customers. The role involves leading the sales team to execute the activation calendar for the omnichannel and reporting directly to the Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies that drive sales and profitability for our company's brands within the eCommerce channel.
  • Lock yearly joint business plans and build a full-year activation calendar to drive the business across pure players and delivery intermediaries.
  • Support the sales team (Key Account Managers and Channel Heads) and distributor teams to actively drive the online business and optimize digital capabilities for omnichannel customers.
  • Work closely with external agencies and ensure performance reporting is timely, enabling continuous optimization.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key eCommerce accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all business matters.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity, analyze account performance, and use data insights to drive improvements in sales and profitability while providing insights and recommendations to the broader team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand Marketing, Commercial, and Supply Chain) to develop and execute joint business plans, promotions, and new product launches to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership internally to ensure alignment with company-wide strategies.
  • Budget management – ensure efficient utilization of funds and bring in savings through process simplification, efficient material utilization, or long-term planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial roles, with at least 3 years in eCommerce roles.
    • Graduated from a reputable university.
    • Proven experience managing key eCommerce retailers across various channels (pure players, delivery intermediaries, omnichannel).
    • Previous experience managing or working with digital shelf tools.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
    • Excellent planning, relationship-building, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of managing and growing key accounts.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to manage customer relationships and address common issues such as inventory, shipping, quality, pricing, and complaints.
    • Analytical, creative, proactive, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to negotiate solutions and stay up-to-date with industry changes.
