World Vision Internships offer a three-month opportunity for talented students and recent graduates eager to dive into the international relief and development field. We are dedicated to giving you a meaningful learning experience, where you will grow, gain valuable skills, and connect with other passionate professionals who share our mission.

Internship Opportunity

Support World Vision's Digital Channels team in expanding the organization's digital influence and impact through strategic growth of key channels, optimization of content for emerging search experiences, and development of data-driven insights that help the organization better serve vulnerable children around the world.

This internship will provide hands-on experience in digital strategy, social media growth, website optimization, AI-powered content discovery, analytics, and digital innovation within a global humanitarian organization.

What You'll Do:

1. LinkedIn Growth & Thought Leadership Strategy

Support efforts to position World Vision as a trusted leader in humanitarian response, child well-being, innovation, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze high-performing LinkedIn content from World Vision and peer organizations

  • Identify opportunities to grow followers, engagement, and share of voice

  • Develop recommendations for employee advocacy and leadership visibility

  • Assist with content planning and publishing

  • Track audience growth and engagement trends

  • Produce monthly LinkedIn performance reports

2. YouTube Growth & Video Optimization

Support the expansion of World Vision's YouTube presence as a platform for storytelling, technical expertise, advocacy, and evergreen content.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of existing video content

  • Research YouTube SEO best practices

  • Optimize titles, descriptions, tags, playlists, and thumbnails

  • Identify opportunities for evergreen content and FAQ-based videos

  • Analyze audience retention and viewing trends

  • Recommend strategies to increase subscribers and watch time

3. Website Content Optimization for AI Search (GEO/AEO)

Support World Vision's efforts to prepare content for the growing influence of AI-driven search and answer engines.

Responsibilities

  • Audit priority content on wvi.org

  • Identify opportunities to improve content structure and clarity

  • Recommend enhancements for answer engine optimization (AEO)

  • Explore generative engine optimization (GEO) techniques

  • Analyze how World Vision content appears in AI search experiences

  • Develop recommendations for future editorial standards

4. Digital Impact Dashboard Development

Support the creation of automated reporting that helps leadership understand the impact of World Vision's digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate performance data from website and social channels

  • Build and maintain automated dashboards

  • Identify trends and opportunities across platforms

  • Produce visual reports for leadership audiences

  • Assist in measuring brand awareness, engagement, and influence indicators

5. Social Listening & Emerging Trends Research

Use digital intelligence tools to help identify opportunities for engagement and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor conversations related to humanitarian issues and child well-being

  • Identify emerging platforms, tools, and content formats

  • Support monthly trend reporting

  • Surface opportunities to engage around global moments and campaigns

  • Location: Remote within the US. You must be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

  • Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Data Analytics, Information Science, International Development, or related field

  • Internship Cohort Dates: 25 January – 23 April, 2027. 

  • Stipend: This internship is unpaid, but all US-based interns receive a monthly stipend of $800.

  • Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (20-40 hours/week)

Eligibility

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or F-1 student visa holder with valid work authorization) and possess a valid U.S. Social Security Number.

  • Able to commit to at least 20 hours per week for the entire internship period: 25 January – 23 April, 2027. 

  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within 2 years).

  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.

  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software on those devices.
