The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under its leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service Management and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO). This function will report into the lead Product Catalogue and Standards Management under the Product & Service management department.
Join us in this team where we aim to bridge the gap from our central organisation to the diverse Tech domains across ING group. This means you’ll be at the forefront of driving centralized improvements while ensuring local implementations remain agile, relevant, and efficient.
What you will do
Defining the business framework: Establish the framework and guidelines necessary to map IT solutions across the entire ING group. This includes identifying key business processes, capabilities, and objectives to ensure that IT solutions align with business goals.
Strategic alignment: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the business framework supports the strategic objectives of ING. Continuously assess and refine the framework to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.
Ensuring robust connections: Facilitate strong linkages between providers and consumers within the organization. Ensure seamless integration and communication between different departments and teams to optimize the flow of information and services.
Developing a marketplace: Contribute to developing a marketplace between internal IT providers and consumers within ING. This involves creating a platform where IT services can be efficiently matched with business needs, enhancing internal service delivery and utilization.

What are we looking for. Experience:
8+ years of experience in business architecture with a proven track record of designing and implementing digital strategies, aligning IT solutions with business goals, and facilitating digital transformation within organizations.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and the ability to align IT strategy with business goals is essential. This includes experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide solutions
Demonstrated experience in engaging with stakeholders at various levels, gathering and documenting requirements, and developing actionable solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Experience in conducting workshops, developing business process models, and delivering comprehensive documentation.
Familiarity with Agile & Lean methodologies.
Skills:
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing business requirements, process capabilities, and data to develop effective IT solutions.
Business Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IT and business processes, particularly within the banking sector, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Communication and Documentation: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and business information to stakeholders and team members; proficiency in English.
Innovation: Ability to think creatively and develop new solutions to improve existing frameworks and operating models.
Collaboration and Leadership: Strong teamwork and leadership abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to successful completion.
Resilience: Capacity to manage ambiguity and complexity, maintaining effectiveness under pressure.
Education:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications (e.g. Lean, Agile, BusDevOps)
