JOB MISSION:
We are seeking a Digital Business Analyst to join our EMEA Direct to Consumer organisation, headquartered in Amsterdam. As a Digital Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing and interpreting key business data (e.g. revenue, margin, inventory and commercial performance) to drive strategic decision-making for our eCommerce and marketplace businesses.
You will work closely with partners across digital, merchandising, finance, and BI, providing data-driven insights that optimise business performance. Using Power BI and other analytical tools, you will develop dashboards and reports to support decision-making across the organisation.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Business Performance Analysis
Analyse sales, revenue, profitability, and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities.
Provide weekly, monthly, and ad hoc performance reports to key partners.
Support forecasting and budgeting processes with data-driven insights.
Lead a variety of projects to solve complex business problems, advising on and providing solutions to the business.
Marketplace & eCommerce Analytics
Track and evaluate performance across direct eCommerce and marketplace channels (Zalando, ASOS, etc.).
Analyse product sell-through rate and promotional effectiveness.
Dashboarding & Data Visualisation
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualise key performance metrics in partnership with the Digital Analytics Manager.
Ensure and own the data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.
Work with BI teams to enhance data infrastructure and reporting automation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with finance, merchandising, and commercial teams to deliver actionable insights.
Support and advise on strategic planning and business reviews with data-backed recommendations.
Collaborate with the Web Analyst and Digital Analytics Manager to ensure a broad approach to digital data.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Relevant number of years of experience in business analytics, financial analysis, or a similar data-focused role.
Strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL and/or Python as well as Power BI (or similar data visualisation tools).
Experience in eCommerce, retail, or marketplace analytics is a plus.
Solid understanding of financial metrics (revenue, margin, profitability, inventory turns, etc.).
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
