Position Summary:
The Digital Asset Manager plays a critical role within Munchkin's Brand Design (BD) team, ensuring the seamless organization and accessibility of creative assets while maintaining the optimal performance of our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. In a brand where creativity drives everything we do, this position is essential to support efficient workflows, scalable processes, and a well-organized asset ecosystem.
This role extends beyond traditional asset management, focusing on optimizing workflows, improving user experiences, and driving innovation within our systems. As a central collaborator across teams, the Digital Asset Manager is responsible for refining processes, recommending strategic updates, and identifying opportunities for integration and growth.

What You'll Do:

  • DAM System Management
    • Oversee the Bynder Brand Portal, ensuring assets are uploaded, categorized, and tagged with consistent metadata
    • Continuously seek ways to improve the DAM system by implementing upgrades, exploring feature integrations, and proactively addressing inefficiencies
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues and system enhancements
    • Register and manage permissions for internal and external users, ensuring appropriate and secure access to assets
  • Metadata and Taxonomy Standards
    • Establish and enforce metadata standards to ensure assets are accurately categorized and easily searchable
    • Audit, refine, and scale taxonomy for evolving business needs and future growth
    • Implement processes to ensure metadata integrity and prevent duplication or mislabeling
  • Asset Organization and Workflow Optimization
    • Lead the archiving, processing, and hyper-cataloging of assets, maintaining a centralized and highly efficient system
    • Collaborate across teams to proactively streamline workflows, ensuring assets are integrated seamlessly into user processes
    • Drive cross-functional alignment to optimize asset retrieval, sharing, and archiving
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Work with Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, and creative teams to address day-to-day asset needs and align workflows with campaign and product deliverables
    • Proactively identify pain points and develop user-friendly solutions that improve the overall efficiency of the DAM system
    • Train team members on DAM processes and best practices, fostering adherence to asset management standards
  • Asset Lifecycle and Archive Management
    • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of digital assets, from upload to long-term archiving
    • Oversee secure and scalable storage strategies, ensuring accessibility and protection of creative materials
  • Maintain a comprehensive archive that enables quick retrieval for future use
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Bring It!

  • 5+ years of experience managing a Digital Asset Management system (Bynder preferred)
  • Proven ability to improve processes, streamline workflows, and optimize asset systems
  • Strong understanding of metadata tagging, taxonomy creation, and archival workflows
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat) and familiarity with video/image formats (ProRes, H264, PSD, JPEG, PNG, etc.)
  • Experience with training and onboarding users on DAM systems and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining meticulous attention to detail

Salary range: $78,000 - $90,000 annually DOE
