Condé Nast Italy is looking for a talented and business-oriented Digital Art Designer to collaborate in the development of a sophisticated and vibrant look and feel for the digital platforms of Vogue Italia. The role sets and evolves the visual tone and feel of Vogue Italia on the website and the digital platforms of the brand, overseeing design brand strategy and creative ideation and working closely with the Global Creative Team. They will have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment across all platforms, with a focus on the brand’s Print and Digital editions and brand’s presence on social platforms
Please note that this role will collaborate with Condé Nast Italy as a freelancer using an Italian VAT Number (P. IVA)
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Global Creative Director, Head of Editorial Content, and Local Editorial Leads to develop and uphold a cohesive visual language across platforms, ensuring consistency and excellence in all visual outputs
Design layouts and visuals for covers and features across both print and digital media, maintaining the brand’s aesthetic
Create high-quality graphics and animations tailored for diverse digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Website, and Newsletters
Develop visually engaging content for digital campaigns, including motion graphics and video content aligned with the brand's tone and identity
Collaborate with editorial, creative, and sales teams to meet diverse media needs while ensuring the highest level of visual execution
Produce sketches, storyboards, and rough drafts to visualize and communicate creative ideas
Contribute to brainstorming sessions to generate innovative concepts for digital experiences that captivate and inspire the audience
Translate business objectives into elegant, innovative, and intuitive design solutions, balancing user needs, brand goals, and technological constraints
Ideate original artwork (e.g., illustrations, infographics, icons, animations) where needed, to elevate storytelling and user engagement
Track, manage, and maintain assigned budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
Primary Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience in publishing, digital media, or a similar creative field
Full professional proficiency in Italian and English language, written and spoken
Proven expertise in print design, web design, and digital platforms, demonstrated through a robust portfolio of work
Strong knowledge of motion graphics, with experience in creating animations and video content for social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok
Familiarity with the latest social media trends and ability to integrate these trends into visually engaging content
Hands-on experience in logo design, typography, color theory, web layout design, image selection, and package design
A creative mindset that values innovation and embraces experimental approaches to storytelling and content presentation
Strong understanding of branded design principles and editorial workflows, with an ability to stay ahead of editorial design trends across platforms
Ability to actively collaborate in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, demonstrating flexibility and versatility across media types
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities
Team player, proactive self-starter, and skilled multitasker with a talent for finding solutions
Proficiency in industry-standard tools, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, After Effects and Office Suite, with experience using K4
Knowledge of html/css/javascript as ability to communicate with product developers is a plus
