Our client, a world leader in diagnostics and life sciences, is looking for a "Digital Archive Specialist” based out of South San Francisco, CA.

 

Job Duration: Long term Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension)

Pay Rate: $30/hr on W2

About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Archive Specialist to support a project focused on extracting, organizing, and archiving legacy firmware and software assets. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a technical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical tasks with structured documentation and project tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract firmware and software from archived physical media (e.g., floppy disks, CDs, tape drives) and upload into designated repository.

  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets to monitor progress and data integrity.

  • Provide regular status updates and generate project metrics as needed.

  • Query automation databases to confirm whether systems are still active.

  • Collaborate with team members in a positive, solutions-oriented manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational ability.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides).

  • Customer service mindset with willingness to assist others.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a project-based environment.

  • Technical/database experience or interest a plus.
