The 212 bed private hospital is co-located with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital and is a teaching hospital of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.

Job Description

Are you an Accredited Practising Dietitian looking for a rewarding inpatient role within a supportive multidisciplinary team?
 

Westmead Private Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Part-Time Inpatient Dietitian to join our highly regarded Allied Health Department. This role is ideal for a dietitian with acute inpatient experience who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

About the Role

Our inpatient dietetics service provides referral-based nutritional assessment and management across a diverse range of specialties, including:

  • Neurology

  • Gastroenterology

  • Colorectal surgery

  • Geriatric medicine

  • Cardiothoracic surgery

  • Orthopaedics
     

You will provide evidence-based nutritional care for patients requiring support with malnutrition, enteral (NG) feeding, wound healing, post-operative nutrition, weight management and a variety of other complex nutritional needs.

Working closely with nursing staff, medical specialists, and food services, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive appropriate nutrition care, including specialised diets and enteral feeding plans.
 

About You

You are a proactive and compassionate clinician who enjoys working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You are committed to providing exceptional patient care and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
 

Essential criteria

  • Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia

  • Previous inpatient/acute clinical experience

  • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A positive, collaborative approach to patient care

 

Position Details

  • Immediate commencement

  • Part-time position (16 hours per week)

  • Initially 2 days per week, with the potential for additional hours in the future

  • Preferred working days are Tuesday and Friday, however flexibility can be discussed
