Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grade 2 Dietitian to join our growing team. This role will be working 3 days per week, permanent part-time position. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care across a diverse clinical caseload while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients. The role encompasses working within inpatient and day rehabilitation settings, and may also involve servicing our private practice, Ramsay Health Plus (including appointments on-site and home visits).

As a Grade 2 Dietitian, you will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, manage a complex caseload, and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives. You will also provide clinical support and supervision to junior staff and students, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nutrition assessments and evidence-based dietetic interventions across a range of clinical areas.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate individualised nutrition care plans to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Provide nutrition education and counselling to patients, families and carers.
  • Provide nutrition education presentations in group settings.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences and discharge planning.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, service development and accreditation activities.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to Grade 1 Dietitians and student dietitians, as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.

You are a motivated and patient-focused Dietitian who is passionate about delivering high-quality nutrition care. You enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, have excellent communication and rapport-building skills, and are committed to achieving positive patient outcomes through evidence-based practice. You are proactive, adaptable and thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.

You will also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Grade 2 Dietitian or a minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience in a relevant clinical dietetics setting
  • Well-developed clinical assessment, counselling and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge and skills in rehabilitation dietetics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a varied caseload.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior clinicians and/or student dietitians (desirable).
  • Experience in the food service dietetic practice area (desirable)
