Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Provide individualized nutrition assessments and guidance to participants.
- Develop meal plans and dietary recommendations tailored to diverse populations.
- Offer educational workshops and presentations on healthy eating and nutrition.
- Collaborate with Community Center staff to integrate nutrition programming.
- Maintain accurate records of client consultations and follow-up recommendations.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in nutrition and dietetics.
- Assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
- Must have current CPR Certification.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, wellness, and dietary planning.
- Criminal History Background Check required.
- Employees are responsible for tracking attendance, starting/ending sessions/classes on time and turning in paperwork in a timely manner.
- Must exhibit initiative in the absence of supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with older adults, confident managing multiple participants at a time, and the ability to create a fun environment.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.

Johnson County Park & Recreation District is a public parks and recreation organization serving Johnson County, Kansas. Established by state statute, it manages more than 10,000 acres, developed parks, trails, sports and recreation complexes, golf courses, cultural and environmental facilities, and educational sites.
