Job Description

Casual Dietitian - WREN Women's Recovery Network

We are seeking an experienced Casual Dietitian to join the Women's Recovery Network (WREN), providing specialist nutritional care across our eating disorder programs, including inpatient and Hospital in the Home (HITH) services. WREN delivers person-centred, recovery-oriented care for women experiencing mental health challenges, combining clinical and lived experience expertise to support recovery. [wren.org.au]

The Dietitian will support collaborative intake, admission, transition and discharge planning processes, liaise with food services to meet individual nutritional needs, and contribute to the delivery of evidence-based, least restrictive care. The role may also involve providing specialist nutrition consultation and advice to other clinical areas across the hospital when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders.
  • Knowledge and experience in refeeding risk assessment and nutritional rehabilitation.
  • Experience developing and implementing individualised meal plans.
  • Experience facilitating groups and/or therapeutic meal support.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and least restrictive practice.
  • Flexibility to work across inpatient, HITH, and broader hospital settings as required.
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence.

Desirable Requirements

  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential.
  • Experience within mental health services.
  • Experience in inpatient and/or community-based care settings.
  • Training in evidence-based eating disorder interventions.
  • Experience providing specialist consultation to clinical teams and hospital services.
