We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Dietary Director to lead our dietary department in a welcoming assisted living community. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department.
- Plan, develop, and implement nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered diets.
- Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local health and food safety regulations.
- Maintain food quality, sanitation, and infection control standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and department budgets.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to accommodate special dietary requirements.
- Foster a positive dining experience that enhances residents' quality of life.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dietary Director, Food Service Manager, or similar leadership role in assisted living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition for older adults.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- ServSafe Certification (preferred or required, depending on state regulations).
- Familiarity with state and federal dietary regulations.
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Skills Required
